to Casa Levana Casa
Levana is a large 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom, traditional house set in the
small, picturesque and typically charming Spanish village of Los Perenos,
near Antequera in Southern Spain. An
ideal holiday home for a family or a group of friends wishing to enjoy
serene village life in the heartland of rural Andalucia.

Casa
Levana is a great base for exploring Andalucia and the
beautiful, historic sites of Granada, Cordoba and
Seville are all within easy driving distance.
The area is perfect for walking, cycling,
bird-watching and painting holidays to list a few.
The
Village: Los
Perenos is a tiny, charming hamlet consisting of just a
few houses set in a circle and surrounded by olive
groves. There
is a small, pretty park for children to play in and a
tiny church. There
are no shops but a van delivers food on a daily basis -
usually late morning. You will hear him as he toots his
horn! This
is village life unchanged for the last 50 years. However,
La Roda de Andalucia (the nearest town of 5kms) is a
short, easy drive through the olive groves.
La Roda has numerous restaurants, bars, banks, a
pharmacy and generally everything you might need.

The House Downstairs: The historical style of the kitchen has been retained, with its wood beamed ceilings and white-washed walls, but now enhanced by modern comfort and facilities. It is fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, electric oven and microwave. Off
the kitchen, leading through the utility area, is a generous sized
bathroom equipped with huge limestone bath.
It has been sympathetically restored with the huge wood beamed
ceilings, terracotta tiles and a quirky stained glass window.
The
living / dining room is divided by an arch with a wood-burning stove for
the winter months. The
thick, original stone walls add character and charm.
There are books, maps, a selection of CDs and a CD/Ipod music
system for guests to use. Upstairs At
the top of the stairs to the left, there is the generous sized master
bedroom with a wood beamed ceiling, king-sized bed, air conditioning and
underfloor heating for those cooler months.
Leading off the bedroom is an ensuite bathroom with a large
walk-in shower. This too
has underfloor heating. On
the right from the stairs, there is a large landing leading to a twin
bedroom which has charming hand glazed tiles and a ceiling fan. Next
to this is a further sizeable double bedroom with the same hand glazed
tiles and a king-sized bed and air conditioning.
This also boasts a walk-in wardrobe together with an en-suite
bathroom. Outside: There
are three totally secluded patio areas.
The first is a charming courtyard with flowering shrubs and a
lemon tree which provides an abundance of lemons throughout the year for
that all important gin & tonic!
Beyond
the courtyard there is the main large patio area with built-in table and
seating for eight. This is
the perfect spot for dining in the fresh air, looking out over the patio
and listen to birds singing in the trees. As the night falls, switch on the outside lighting, lie back
on the scatter cushions and watch the stars. The
last patio has a large stone barbeque with plenty of seating options.
There
is also a building at the rear of the property and on the ground floor
has a fridge-freezer together with sun-loungers and bbq equipment.
On the upper floor there is a sun-room to relax in with big,
comfortable sofas and large windows providing views over the patios.
There are also a selection of games and cards.
The property sleeps 6 but can sleep 8 if required with airbeds provided in either the sun-room or the spare room upstairs. Rental period is based upon on a Thursday - Thursday basis. However other time blocks periods would be considered subject to availability. Once a reservation has been made we would require a deposit of 40% of the holiday cost and the balance to be paid eight weeks before commencement of the holiday rental. A refundable deposit of £100 would also be required to set against breakages when the balance of the holiday is paid.
