Chris and Judy Dare welcome you to Cortijo Ladera in the heart of beautiful Andalucia. The Cortijo is only 3kms from the spectacular Lake of Andalucia that surrounds the small picturesque hilltop town of Iznájar. Here you will find the castle dating from the 8th century and church from the 16th century. Both castle and church are floodlit at weekends, giving a dreamlike quality to the town

The farmhouse is situated in the small hamlet of Arroyo de Priego a short distance from Iznájar, up a winding country road, the N333, which leads to the small village of El Higueral and onwards to Priego de Cordoba an elegant ancient walled town to the north.

In a valley with olive trees in abundance the property, reputed to date back at least a hundred years, has been lovingly restored retaining many of the original features.

This is an ideal venue for an active or relaxing holiday where peace and tranquility reign.

A large car park edged with a border of brightly coloured flowers is solely for the use of guests and gives easy access to all rooms.

Our rooms, double or twin, are en-suite.  Existing beams have been retained and restored to keep the flavor of a typical Spanish Cortijo.

Tea and coffee making facilities Pedestal fans for the summer Electric heaters for the winter Self-catering facilities are also available in the dining room and a BBQ is situated on the patio for the warmer summer months. However, there is always a good supply of drinks and ice-creams.

The pool is solely for the use of our guests and is a totally private area where you can sunbathe and swim or enjoy that tasty snack from the BBQ.
